Not All Problems Are Created Equal
You've found a list of problems. Now what? How do you know which one is worth solving? This is where Pain Point Impact Scores come in. It's a method to quantify the potential of an opportunity based on data.
The Three Pillars
We calculate impact based on three factors: Frequency (how often is it mentioned?), Intensity (how emotional is the language?), and Reach (how many people are engaging with the topic?).
Using the Score
A high-frequency, low-intensity problem might be a minor annoyance (like a UI glitch). A low-frequency, high-intensity problem might be a critical failure for a niche group. The sweet spot for startups is often high-intensity problems that are growing in frequency—these represent underserved markets ready for a solution.
